This morning, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles issued two recalls that affect nearly 89,000 vehicles from the 2016 model year.The vast majority of those vehicles are registered in the U.S.RECALL #1: 2016 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand CherokeeUNITS AFFECTED: 30,183 vehicles registered in the U.S., 2,534 in Canada, 489 in Mexico, and 1,427 registered elsewhere (total: 34,633)This recall stems from a problem with the 3.6-liter, V6 engines used in some of these SUVs.According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the engine's fuel rail crossover tube may have been damaged during the assembly process.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Two adults and a student were injured when a Jeep hit the back of a school bus that was stopped to pick up students, Manchester police said Wednesday.The bus driver, Kori Brennan, 25, of Lakehurst; school aide Theresa Schmidt, 44, of Whiting, and a 16-year-old female student all were taken to Community Medical Center, Toms River, for treatment of head, neck and back pain after the crash, Manchester Lt. Vincent Manco said.The crashhappened about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Manco said, when a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Steven R. Tomasi, 35, of Waretown, hit the rear of Brennan's bus.
