- FCA is putting a hold on two major products: a redesigned Ram heavy duty (HD) pickup and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.According to Automotive News, the Ram HD lineup won't switch to the new DT pickup platform in 2018 as was planned, instead going with a simple refresh of the existing model.Over at Jeep, the new six-figure Grand Wagoneer luxury SUV is also being put on hold.

- It was going so well – Jeep was planning to take on six-figure luxury SUVs with one of its own, all while reviving one of the most storied names in the company's history.Yet because the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry, Automotive News reports Fiat Chrysler – having worked on the project for the better part of the last two years – has delayed the project, according to various parts suppliers.Well, Fiat Chrysler wouldn't dish any details, but Auto News speculates the automaker anticipates funds will run low soon, especially considering the resources that went into the high-risk revival of Alfa Romeo in North America.

- Fiat-Chrysler has been unusually open about its plans to revive the Jeep Grand Wagoneer name.Brand chief Mike Manley revealed in July that the SUV maker would dust off the badge, last used in 1991 on the woodie shown above, for an all-new product; in September, Manley hinted that the upcoming luxury SUV could demand as much as $140,000 for a fully-loaded model.But now, the Grand Wagoneer's return is apparently on hold—because FCA is making a big push to build more SUVs.
