The good folks over at JL Wrangler Forums have photographed a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL prototype on Fiat Chrysler property in Michigan wearing its new three-piece hard top roof. The three-piece removable hard top is one of three roofs expected to be offered with the 2018 Wrangler JL. More information on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL will trickle out as its debut date at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show in November nears. Diesel and hybrid versions of the SUV are expected to arrive further down the line, with the diesel using FCA's 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine.

It has shown pickup concepts before, such as the Jeep J-12 produced for the annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari off-roading event in 2012, and a Jeep Gladiator based on the Jeep Wrangler platform that was shown at the 2005 Detroit auto show. Wrangler will shift to the north plant to give it more capacity, and Jeep will use the Supplier Park plant for the Wrangler truck, Manley said.
