Darien man charged with DUI after flipping his JeepDARIEN — A 43-year-old Darien man was charged with drunk driving after he rolled over his car after hitting a mailbox, police said. An officer noticed Troy was having difficulty standing straight and asked if the Darien man was alright. Officers responding to the scene found the Jeep lying on its roof in the road with Troy standing next to it. During his interactions with officers, Troy appeared confused, calling a male officer "ma'am" and a female officer "sir."The officers asked Troy to perform a field sobriety test, which he submitted to and failed. Troy told police he was coming from the train station when a dog ran across the road, causing the accident.
