Jeep Teases 2017 Easter Jeep Safari Concepts

The Easter Jeep Safari enters its 51st year, and while that isn't a special number, it's not stopping Jeep from bringing some very special concepts. Last year, it rolled out some wild concepts at its 50th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. The Switchback looks more like a proper safari vehicle, with only safari bars in place of its doors, and a top over the cargo area that looks like it should be easily removed. You can take a look at last year's concepts below while you wait to see what Jeep has in store for 2017. This year, Jeep has teased two of its concepts ahead of time -- the Switchback (below) and the Quicksand (above, with the headline).

Case in point: Easter week also happens to be when Jeep fanatics gather together in Moab, Utah, for the annual Easter Jeep Safari. But as much as we'd like to think that were so, the car world is far, far bigger than us. So ahead of the official reveal of the first off-road one-offs, Jeep has dropped a teaser for the first pair. And we're totally falling for it, because these first two concepts—the Quicksand and Switchback—certainly seem worth lusting over. Of course, Fiat Chrysler is going to milk these attention-grabbing new models for all they're worth.




The first one, the Wrangler Quicksand concept, is based on a short-wheelbase, two-door Wrangler, and the other, the Wrangler Switchback, is based on the Wrangler Unlimited.
