The Grand Cherokee range is diverse enough to cater to a range of drivers and their individual needs. Beyond that, the Grand Cherokee has only just been updated for 2017 - it's unlikely to be superseded or heavily discounted any time soon. The Grand Cherokee range holds a five-star ANCAP rating. Not if you're considering the big V8, as Jeep is extremely likely to launch the new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk in Australia.

In light of the recent Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk debut, people are tending to forget about the still-relevant Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. Rather than just showing another video of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT barreling down the drag strip alone, Jeep UK opted to pit the SRT against a classic Hemi-powered Hot Rod. The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT comes across at 13.3 seconds at 103 mph while the Hot Rod lands 14.2 seconds at 95 mph. The video shows UK drag racing Champion Stuart Doignie piloting the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and Drag Specialist Kelbin Dunn at the helm of the hot rod. Equipped with the same 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 found in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Packs, the Grand Cherokee SRT still packs quite a punch.
I couldn't even imagine what this drag race would look like if Jeep swapped out the Grand Cherokee SRT for the 707-horsepower Trackhawk. I love a good drag race. It appears a bit lighter than the Grand Cherokee, but all-wheel drive might eat up that advantage. This drag race is courtesy of Jeep's United Kingdom arm. Behind the wheel of the Grand Cherokee is UK drag racing champion Stuart Doignie.
