Spy shots taken in Brazil have prematurely revealed the 2018 Jeep Compass well ahead of its official debut.The new Compass was designed to replace both the Patriot and the current Compass, two of the oldest members of Jeep's lineup.Published by Brazilian website Autoo , the pictures reveal Jeep's next crossover borrows more than a handful of styling cues from the bigger Grand Cherokee, including a tall front end with a thin grille.The model depicted in the spy pictures is the Compass Limited, a version positioned near -- if not at -- the top of the lineup.Less expensive variants will evidently receive smaller wheels and less chrome trim.Autoo reports the Brazilian-spec Compass will be available with either Fiat-Chrysler's 2.0-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine or a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-banger.
