Anton Yelchin is to blame for his own death, a Chrysler dealership has claimed.The 27-year-old actor - who found fame playing Pavel Chekov in the rebooted 'Star Trek' films - was crushed in a freak accident at his Los Angeles home in June when his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled backwards and pinned him against the security gate of his property.Anton's parents Irina and Victor Yelchin filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler and ZF North America and named local dealership Auto Nation in the claim, stating their son believed the vehicle was in park when he stepped outside of it.

The local auto dealership where Anton Yelchin purchased the Jeep Grand Cherokee that killed him has denied any liability in the accident.After Yelchin's 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee killed him by crushing him against a gate outside him home in June, his parents, Irina and Victor Yelchin, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler, ZF North America and AutoNation, citing "significant defects" in the model.AutoNation was removed from the lawsuit, as it didn't own the dealership at the time.

A California Chrysler dealership claims Anton Yelchin should be blamed for his own death after his Jeep rolled backward and crushed him between a metal gate and a brick pillar.The Valencia, California, car agency fired back at the wrongful death lawsuit submitted by Yelchin's parents with a court filing of its own, explaining why it should not be liable for Yelchin's untimely passing, TMZ reports.The dealership believes Yelchin's death occurred because of his own "misuse, misapplication, or damage" in operating the vehicle that ultimately killed him, according to the court documents obtained by the celebrity gossip site.
