Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Will Survive, Despite Hellcat-Powered Trackhawk

PHOTO GALLERYJeep has said that the Grand Cherokee SRT will stick around despite next year's introduction of a Hellcat powered model dubbed the ' Trackhawk '.Confirmation about the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk came at the start of the year and the vehicle is expected to be unveiled at April's New York International Auto Show 2017.While speaking with The Detroit News at the Los Angeles Auto Show , Jeep boss Mike Manley confirmed that the U.S. will be the first market to get the Trackhawk but that the Grand Cherokee SRT won't be dropped."There is international demand for the vehicle [Trackhawk], but the U.S. is going to get it first.I don't see any reason to stop our current Grand Cherokee SRT just because we've launched the Trackhawk, because they're going to be very different vehicles," Manley confirmed.When the Trackhawk arrives, it will be powered by the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine as its Challenger and Charger siblings.
