Driver cited after Jeep crashes through Eppley Airfield window

A man has been cited after an incident Monday at Eppley Airfield that left three people injured, including one seriously.Omaha Police tell WOWT 6 News that 72-year-old Jerome Merwald of Omaha had gone to pick up his brother Frank from the airport.While Jerome used the restroom, Frank Merwald, 66 of Chatsworth, California, got into the driver's seat of the Jeep.

Man crashes stolen Jeep into TV news van in Hollywood, police say

A 37-year-old man suspected of drunken driving in a stolen Jeep Monday was arrested after crashing into a TV news van in Hollywood.Travis Miller tried running away after the afternoon crashon the intersection of South 56th Avenue and Washington Street but was held down by good Samaritans until authorities arrived, Hollywood police spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said.Cellphone images show Miller apparently drinking from a can of beer as the bystanders hold him down.
