HOUSTON - Police said a chase ended in southwest Houston early Thursday morning when the driver's Jeep flipped onto its roof.The chase started just before 1:30 a.m. at Beechnut and Gessner.Police said the chase ended less than five minutes later near Leawood when the driver flipped his Jeep.

(Photo: Metro for KHOU 11)HOUSTON – A man was taken into custody after flipping a Jeep SUV upside down during a chase in southwest Houston.Police initially tried to stop the SUV around 1:30 a.m. Thursday near Gessner and Beechnut for an alleged traffic violation, but the man refused to stop.He led police on a short chase before flipping the Jeep onto its roof at Beechnut and Leawood.

A rollover crashwas reported just before 6 a.m. in Franklin Township, the Warren County Department of Public Safety reports.The 5:56 a.m. wreck involving a northbound red Jeep Wrangler near 279 Asbury Bloomsbury Road didn't result in serious injuries.The male driver was checked out at the scene but not taken to a hospital.
